If u dont know swimming then try learning swimming else dont dare swim in ur life...

i have sat many a time in an room where u r given some empty papers  and a printed paper with some kind of greek and latin, which needs to be answered......yes i am talking abt the dreaded examinations.

i have always been a gud student at understanding classes and oral answering but when it comes to writing answers, assignments, reports and EXAMS i have never been a gud question.

I still remember the school days when my mom used to go to my friends place b4 the exams to get the full class notes for she always knew i would never write notes properly.

Guess i would be the only person in about the 7 billion people around the world and the millions of students across the globe who till date does not have a single subject for which i have the complete class notes.

So atleast in one thing...I am a world leader..i mean I am the unchallenged EMPEROR. :) :)

Ok now jokes and flashbacks aside, exams oh what a night mare.

I was writing exams after a break of four and a half years. When in continuous studies, i was the worst so was actually a bit concerned abt the break..has the break made me a more matured student taking exams or as the saying goes "Old habbits die hard"

And there it was b4 i knew i have joined my masters in September and I am in Sweden IN CHALMERS..b4 i could know who all are there in my class...and what my classes are.......ITS EXAMINATION TIME..

21st october--computer security and 23rd october--logic in computer science(i can understand greek and latin but not logic in computer science)

Well actually it was not such a bad outing i guess...but again vinods words were the first things that stuck me in the first exam- -VASAVI EEE 2004 batch......nothin happens ur way..this time no change either...3 unexpected questions,.... 3* 8=24 marks out of 60 is a lot ..but somehow managed to scrap through....

Ironically i left studying for Logic exam and went into the exam hall thinking of possible questions and the preparation modus operandi for the supplementary exams in january... but i could some questions to which i could relate myself.....

but need to wait till November 3rd week to know what actually happened in the exams....is my thinking the same of the class the same of the examiner...

But irrespective of what happens to the exams i gave...one thing is sure...i am a student again....

but now looking forward for the next quater Oct-Dec which has two of my elective courses, which i have some interest so hopefully should be a gud time ahead...

Keep checking the space for more upates and information...and drop in ur messages...they are a pleasure reading and replying

Life in Sweden so far...

time: 14:42
Date: 08-Oct-2008
Place : In the living room of my house
Address: Väderlekstorget 3, 418 32 Göteborg, Sweden

I do not know y i wanted to write this blog, but just felt like writing and here I go.

With a cup of hot chocklate, and a lot of feelings inside I start.

I came to Sweden on the 26th August,2008 to do my Masters in Dependable Computer Systems from Chalmers Univ of Technology. A pretty highly ranked university among the technical circles in Europe and across the globe.

But within the first few days I have learnt that I am not here to learn only technical stuff, but to learn about life, to know what I as a person as an individual can do and cannot do.

The last month and a half have been a mixed bag of sorts--

past, present and future all jumbled into one bag and communal riots within them who deserves my attention most.

And being a very secural person, I am finding it tough to keep the mobs in control.

Missing my dear ones back home --making new ones here,
Missing the fun in the office --Back to college days,
Missing home food, amma's delicacies -- learning the art of survival on anything I cook,
Missing dad's scoldings --Replaced by Professors classes + dad's phone calls
Missing samosas -- getting content with sandwiches and burgers
Missing my mom cleaning my room -- Learning to clean my own stuff(push everything in the
cupboard lets look at it later)
Missing the dhobi -- Washing + ironing my own clothes
Missing the maid -- learnt to use the vaccuum cleaner and the dishwasher

And the future is not quite either--Work in Europe,US; Do a PHD; Get back home; my dreams of teaching students back home; Marriage; .....

Oh my God so many thoughts in this brain.. But guess it is the transformation phase going on

yes there have been some eventful events in Sweden so far-- About Gothenburg and Sweden; Meeting the nice people-Linnea, Marcus, Malle, Johan ; Making new friends; My College, classes and stuff; Bhaskers trip;......

I guess each one needs a seperate blog so keep checking this space for more....

Till then

Keep smiling Keep Cheering
